Peer pressure sucks, and my autofill is lame.

You see these things all over the internets and facebooks and twitters. Type the letters of the alphabet into your browser address line and see what website comes up. It's supposed to tell you what kind of person you are, or whether you have homicidal tendencies or something...You bullied me into it, here you go:

A= Amazon.com
B= Blogger.com
C= craigslist.com
D= doorathon.com
E= etsy.com
F= facebook
G= goodreads.com
H= hardwarestore.com
I= indeed.com
J= justin.tv
K= kiwivandal.blogspot.com
L= lastfm.com
M= mommagoround.com
N= Netflix.com
O= “owls” google search
P= pinterest.com
Q= “quest” google search
R= raininglittlemonsters.blogspot.com
S= swap-bot.com
T= twitter.com
U= ups.com
V= verizonwireless.com
W= facebook (I don’t understand how this happened)
X= nothing
Y= youtube.com
Z= zappos.com

I don't know what this means... apparently I am a social media addict and I do too much virtual shopping.

It would be very unfortunate if Diego had an accident

Why are children always in love with the most AWFUL TV shows?
What is this infatuation 3 year old's have with Diego and Dora? Yeah they are cute, yeah they have pretty cool looking graphics, but WHY in the heck are they so COMPLICATED?
Since when are all cartoons about learning something?

Oh, and before all the 'educational-tv-show-mom's' go crazy on me, I need to be clear on something: While I respect the opinion of all moms to make the decisions for their family that is right for them, I don't need any trolling on this subject please. Let's all be adults about this.

Now that that is out of the way, I have to complain about 'eduational' TV for a minute.

What ever happened to mindless cartoons that can allow you to drift off into a peaceful nap? What the heck is the point of even letting your kids watch TV in the middle of the day if NOT to get them to nap? There are about a million toys in our house that get played with on a pretty regular basis, and the TV is usually a non issue during the day, but sometimes, I just want to plop down, flip on the tube, snuggle with my baby and fall asleep.

I don't want to learn spanish,
I don't want to get up and clap
I don't want to jump over the crocodile lake
(you get the point)
I just want to DO NOTHING, I don't want my child engaged in learning something. I want them to be spacing out on the verge of sleep...

What ever happened to shows like Jem and the Holograms, GI Joe, XMen, Transformers, and Care Bears?
GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

The Keeper of all things Magical

All Moms and Dads know there is no manual for raising kids. There is no magic wand to erase the mistakes and mishaps that happen along the way. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we get it wrong.

I don't remember being 5, 9 or 12. I remember snapshots of my life, moments, stories, or feelings about a special time. I remember Magic. I remember Santa and Fairies. I remember floating in water and being bored on car trips. I remember camp and building forts.

I DON'T remember fighting, crying or raging. I don't remember falling out of bed or hitting my siblings. I am certain these things happened, as they happen to everyone. I am sure that my brother and sister can recall a story or too from our childhood that makes me look like a monster. I can say with certainty that there is a grey hair on my Mother's head for every time I told a lie, snuck out or told her I hated her.

The fact that I don't remember with clarity these things gives me hope. Hope that when my children are older they wont remember that we fight, and yell and argue. Hope, that they will grow to love each other (rather than antagonize each other at every chance).

Hope that when they have their own children they will tell stories about the good times. That they will regale them with tales of trips to the beach, that time I snorted up spaghetti, or getting pulled around town in a sled after a HUGE snowstorm.

I hope that they remember all the magic of Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and Leprechaun. I hope they laugh when they think of the silly left-handed notes left by said mythical creatures. I hope they carry on the tradition of trickery, and someday, at 2:30 in the morning as they are trying to sneak a dollar under a sleeping child's head they think of me, and smile.

OK Blogger, what is going on?

Dear Blogger, Your service update has created a myriad of inconveniences. I am fully aware that you have already "apologized", but I am still cranky with you. Love, Me

Well where are my auto posts Blogger?

Huh, Huh?!

Where is my "One Crafter's Guide to Multiples Part 2"? (and 3 for that matter...)

Why have some of my posts posted twice?

WHAT IS HAPPENING!

Well my lovely readers, I am 100% certain I don't have a clue what is going on here, but it seems as though Blogger has gotten all friendly with my bidness and mucked about in my back end.
Now had Blogger bothered to buy me a nice steak dinner and presented me with flowers and/or Tiffany's jewelry I might have allowed a little sompin sompin, BUT... seeings as they did none of the aforementioned sucking up, I AM PISSED.

I sincerely hope to have this whole mess straightened out and fixed by tonight, hang in there peeps!
